I graduated with Marshall Reeves 40 years ago and followed his journey and was very upset for him that he didn't finish, but more importantly, was still very amazed at what he did and for all the riders out there. I'd definitely recommend doing some other solo races before stepping up to RAAM - RAW is a great stepping stone, plus Dex is hosting a 1000 mile race at No Country for Old Men this fall in Texas. I was lucky enough to be on a two man relay team at RAW this year (2014) only to be beaten by George Thomas's team. Your details made great memories come back. I've already crossed the US with PAC Tour Elite in 2013 - albeit with lots of sleep! But, your experience has validated my yearning to go for solo (sleep deprivation) riding.
